Nominees for the 2023 Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize

Fourteen Nordic picture books, youth novels, and collections of poetry have been nominated for the 2023 Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize. This year’s nominees offer us timeless and life-affirming adventures where diversity is not a message in itself, but a premise that strengthens the credibility of the story.

Nominees for the 2023 Nordic Council Film Prize

Six Nordic feature films are nominated for the 2023 Nordic Council Film Prize. The prize is shared equally between the winning screenwriter, director and producer, which underlines that film as an art form is the result of close co-operation between these three main functions.

Nominees for the 2023 Nordic Council Music Prize

Thirteen artists, groups, and ensembles have been nominated for the 2023 Nordic Council Music Prize for their high artistic standard. They represent a broad spectrum of genres from classical music, jazz and folk music to contemporary art music and experimental rock and pop, all of which have been created by composers from the Nordic countries.

Nominees for the 2023 Nordic Council Environment Prize

Recycled textile fibres, circular clothing design, Greenland’s first store selling individuals’ recycled goods, and a framework for fashion weeks. A total of seven projects have been nominated for the 2023 Nordic Council Environment Prize, the focus of which this year is on the textile industry and its environmental and climate challenges.

Nominees for the 2023 Nordic Council Literature Prize

The tragic, the wonderful, and the magical in life are among the common themes of the fourteen Nordic novels and poetry collections that have been nominated for the 2023 Nordic Council Literature Prize. This is a strong Nordic field with works from all countries and language areas.
