Nordic Day – is there light at the end of the tunnel?
The focus on Nordic Day this year will be on themes that are highly topical for the people of the Region right now. The debates will look at the challenges faced and the potential Nordic and solutions to address them in gender equality, cross-border freedom of movement, the circular economy, freedom of expression and culture. The five online events will be staged in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland, but participants from Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Åland will also join in. We have invited key stakeholders from private companies, NGOs, and ordinary citizens to enter into a dialogue with political representatives actively involved in Nordic co-operation. Together, they will take stock and look ahead.

13:00–14:00 CET: COVID-19 is putting trust and mobility under pressure.
14:00–14:45 CET: What can we do to satisfy growing demand for Nordic co-operation and solutions?
15:00–16:00 CET: Freedom of expression in times of crisis – is there cause for concern in the Nordic Region?
18:00–19:15 CET: The value of culture in the Nordic Region in times of crisis and beyond.
