LAMPA Conversation Festival was established in 2014 and has become an annual feature of the Latvian social life. The festival takes place in the town of Cēsis and regularly features more than 200 events – discussions, workshops and panel debates.

The LAMPA conversation festival 2024 takes place in Cēsis, Latvia between July 5-6. During the two days the Nordic tent will host eleven different events, covering a number of topics concering the Nordic-Baltic cooperation.

This year the conversation festival LAMPA is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The two-day festival will gather close to 300 organisers and more than 800 speakers. The Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia will share the Nordic tent named “Nordic island” (in Latvian – “Ziemeļsala”) with the local embassies of the Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden and the Danish Culture institute in Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.

Renewable Energy: Myths and Facts

This discussion will feature leading industry experts from Latvia and Denmark, the latter being among Europe’s frontrunners in renewable energy production and usage. With their extensive knowledge and hands-on experience, the panellists will debunk the
myths using scientific data, cutting-edge research, and practical insights.
