Societal Security

Societal Security is top of mind for all Nordic Governments, especially in these uncertain times. The Nordic Council of Ministers serves as a platform to drive shared political priorities & to create added Nordic value to national preparedness work.

Introduction

The Nordic region strives to become a more integrated region, and many of the challenges we face, both known and still unknown, extend across national borders and sectors of society. In the Nordic region, we share a common responsibility for addressing these challenges.

Work on societal security spans a wide range of areas, from the supply of food, energy and medicines to secure access to infrastructure. At the same time, we place democratic values and trust at the centre, as they form the foundation of a resilient society.
