Artificial intelligence (AI) and new technologies can help solve some of our most important societal challenges. The Nordic Council of Ministers provides a platform for Nordic cooperation aiming to make the Nordic-Baltic region a global leader.
New technologies are being developed and adopted in society at a rapid pace. AI offers great potential for economic growth, productivity, and efficiency gains, and can help us address pressing societal challenges. At the same time, the use of AI can pose challenges to public governance and decision-making, and affect democratic processes and information through an increased risk of, for example, algorithmic bias or false and misleading information. What is certain is that new technologies are key drivers of digital transformation and will continue to have an ever-greater impact on both the economy and everyday life.
New Nordics AI is the Nordic–Baltic center for applied AI, connecting organizations, companies, governments, decision-makers, and people across the region to accelerate AI adoption and development. The centre is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers with a grant of 30 million DKK for its first three years.
