The 2014 Nature and Environment Prize will go to a Nordic local authority/town/community that has either made an impact on the environment in general or has put extraordinary effort into an particular aspect of work on the environment. The 13 nominations are (in random order).

The winner will be chosen by an adjudication vommittee consisting of 13 individuals, two from each of the Nordic countries and one each from Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Åland. The announcement will be made on Wednesday 29 October 2014 at the Session of the Nordic Council in Stockholm.
