The Swedish Algae Factory’s innovative concept facilitates the efficient gathering and circulating of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorous), while reducing emissions of these eutrophying substances into marine environments and watercourses. The silica derived from the algae is used to significantly enhance the efficiency of solar panels. The concept also improves resource efficiency and reduces waste from water purification and solar energy production.
