Nordic Screening Group (NScG)

Knowledge of the prevalence and spread of harmful chemicals in the Nordic Region and the Arctic. The group screens new chemicals that have potentially adverse effects on health and the environment. The results inform EU updates to the list of priority substances under the Water Framework Directive, risk-assessment work under REACH, chemical identification work under OSPAR and HELCOM. In addition to the NKG website, NScG also publishes details of its work and results on its own website
