However, the interconnection between climate change and biodiversity is not widely discussed from a policy and implementation perspective and it can be challenging for the private sector, the consumers and policy makers to understand.

At this very moment a new collaborative program for environment and climate (2019-2024) is being decided upon. The program addresses 5 main topics; circular economy, climate and air, chemicals, biological diversity and ocean and coasts. The aim of this event to is show the Nordic region as a frontrunner when it comes to thinking, finding solutions and working together across borders.

17:30 - 19:00 How to Accelerate Change? Parliamentarians Challenged by Youth
The role of parliamentarians and youth in climate policy and legislation development is the thematic focus of the event. Youth will challenge parliamentarians on how to increase level of ambitions and the next steps in combating climate change and keeping the temperature below 2 degrees. Additionally, parliamentarians and youth will exchange best-practices engaging in decision-making processes.
