Information for journalists covering the 2025 Session of the Nordic Council in Stockholm

Press accreditation for the Swedish Riksdag is mandatory for journalists who wish to cover the Session of the Nordic Council in-person.

To be guaranteed accreditation, your application must be submitted by 17 October. Applications submitted after the deadline will be processed on a rolling basis.

Please note that the Riksdag’s press accreditation is not valid for press conferences in the Swedish Government Offices.

The Swedish Government Offices is arranging its own activities in connection with the Session of the Nordic Council. Information about the Swedish Government Offices’ activities, including press conferences with the Nordic prime ministers and heads of government, can be found (in Swedish) here:

Journalists who are already accredited for the Riksdag and who wish to cover the awards ceremony for the Nordic Council prizes on Tuesday 28 October between 18.00 and 19.00, should register their interest by e-mail at press@riksdagen.se no later than 22 October 2025.

Please note that the number of places is limited. A pan-Nordic press pool will be appointed to follow the awards ceremony in-person. The event will be broadcast online and can be followed on the websites of both the Riksdag and the Nordic Council, where press photos will also be published.
