Light show marks 25 years in Riga
Next year marks a quarter of a century since the Nordic Council of Ministers established its presence in the Baltic states by opening offices in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. As part of the warm up for the celebrations, the Riga office is taking part in the Staro Rīga 2015 light festival.
As part of the Staro Rīga 2015 light festival, the Nordic Council of Ministers’ office in Riga will be open to the public 8–21 November for Northern Lights (NORRSKEN), a light and video show by the Norwegian photographer Kjetil Skogli and Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds.
The office in Latvia is part of the Council of Ministers’ Secretariat and acts as a catalyst for Nordic-Baltic co-operation in the country. It has a close working with Nordic diplomatic representatives in Latvia and co-ordinates joint Nordic initiatives and identifies trends and opportunities for Nordic-Baltic co-operation.
