Annisette Koppel

Singer and songwriter Annisette Koppel (b. 1948) is a force of nature in the truest sense of the word. Since childhood – when she would go into nature and, through shouting and singing, experienced the physical sensation that her voice could soar, contact freedom, and reach it – she has touched and explicitly connected with a remarkably large audience with her unique voice. Annisette Koppel's voice grants her direct access to the human nervous system, and listeners often remark that her voice is utterly unparalleled.

She has been a significant figure for a lifetime – most prominently with the band “Savage Rose”, which she continued after the death of her husband (composer and musician) Thomas Koppel in 2006.
