In Finland, Nordic Day is being celebrated with an all-day event that includes various discussions about the future of the Nordic Region and Finland’s role in the Nordic community.

The panel discussions will be streamed live - 10.30 local time / 9.30 CET.

Questions to be addressed during the day include: What opportunities can the Nordic Region offer young people and how should co-operation between the other Nordic countries look like? How can we help the Nordic Region become the most integrated region in the world by 2030? How will Nordic co-operation be affected if and when all the Nordic countries are members of NATO?  

Participants

Participants include Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto and Minister for Nordic Co-operation Thomas Blomqvist. Several members of the Riksdag, Nordic ambassadors, various experts, and young people will also participate in the discussions. 

The discussions will be moderated by Peter Nyman and mayor of Turku Minna Arve.
