Old-age pension in Åland

The Finnish pension system is applied in Åland, consisting of earnings-related pension and national pension. Earnings-related pension and national pension are paid out in the form of, among others, old-age pension. Old-age pension can be paid by an earnings-related pension provider, by Kela, or by both at the same time. To get old-age pension from Kela, a person must have lived in Finland or Åland for at least three years after turning 16.
