Information for journalists about the Nordic Council Theme Session 2026 in Oslo

Here is some practical information for the media about the Nordic Council Theme Session 2026. The Theme Session will be held in the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget). Accredited media are welcome to cover the plenary debate on Friday.

Accreditation

Accreditation is mandatory for journalists who wish to cover the Theme Session in person. A valid press card is required.

All visitors to parliament must check in and present valid ID and a valid press card on their first visit to the Session. For security reasons, please do not bring luggage with you to parliament.

Passes with photo ID must be worn and visible at all times in the parliament buildings.

Livestreams

The plenary debates will be streamed live. 

You can follow livestreams in the Scandinavian languages, Icelandic, Finnish, or English on norden.org or on a large screen in a separate room in the same building reserved for officials and the media.
