Practical information for journalists attending the 2025 Theme Session of the Nordic Council in Helsinki

Here is some practical information for the media about the 2025 Theme Session of the Nordic Council. The Theme Session is being held in the Little Parliament in Helsinki. Accredited media are welcome to cover the plenary session on Tuesday.

Accreditation

Accreditation for the Theme Session of the Nordic Council is mandatory for journalists who wish to cover it in person. A valid press card is required. 

Only accredited photographers will be allowed to move freely around the plenary chamber. Places will be assigned to other members of the media.

Registration

Registration in E-Block, Mannerheimintie 30, on Monday 31 March and in F-Block, Arkadiankatu 3, on Tuesday 1 April. Upon registration, you will receive a media/access card, which allows you to cover the plenary sessions and move around the Little Parliament where the plenary sessions are held.

A valid press card and valid photo ID must be shown when registering.

Livestreams

The plenary debates will be streamed live.

You can follow livestreams in the Scandinavian languages, Icelandic, Finnish, or English on norden.org or on a large screen in a separate room in the same building reserved for officials and the media. Link to livestreaming to come.
