Focus on sustainability at first Arctic Arts Summit

“Nordic co-operation is characterised by a focus on gender equality, and children and young people, both of which are prerequisites for sustainability Sustainability is paramount to everything in the Arctic region, even art and culture,” stresses the Head of Department for Culture and Resources at the Nordic Council of Ministers, Mikael Höysti. He is taking part in a panel discussion moderated by Artur Wilczynski, Canada’s ambassador to Norway.

On 22 June the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Swedish Agency for Cultural Policy Analysis in the Nordic Region will host the debate “What do we need to improve the conditions for arts and cultural participation” featuring Karolina Windell from the Swedish Agency for Cultural Policy Analysis in the Nordic Region; Maria Utsi, Director of the Arctic Arts Festival; Mats Bjerde, Director of NAPA, the Nordic Institute in Greenland; and Susanne Jonsson, Director of Filmpool Nord.
