Since 2002, the Nordic Council Film Prize has been awarded to a feature film that is rooted in Nordic culture, possesses high artistic value and constitutes a complete work.

The winner will be announced on 2 November
The winner of the Nordic Council Film Prize 2021 will be announced together with the winners of the other Nordic Council prizes in Copenhagen on 2 November, in connection with the session of the Nordic Council.
The prize of DKK 300,000 will be shared equally between the film's screenwriter, director and producer, underlining the fact that film, as an art form, is the result of close collaboration between these key players.
About the Nordic Council Film Prize
The Nordic Council Film Prize is awarded to a Nordic-produced feature film of high artistic quality. The film must have had its cinematic premiere between 1 July and 31 December of the previous year, or between 2020 January and 30 June 2021.
The Nordic Council Film Prize was awarded for the first time in 2002, and is awarded annually along with the other Nordic prizes for literature, music and environmental work. The Nordic Council Film Prize is administered by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
