Thank you! First of all, can I say that from everything I have seen in the EU Council, there will be a strong Nordic voice in the EU Council when the United Kingdom has left - I can assure you. That strong Nordic voice is there today, and I know it will be there in the future.

We will have a different relationship with the European Union, obviously, in the future, but we do want to continue to have a good trading relationship - that is why we have put forward proposals for a free trade area in goods and agricultural products, with frictionless trade as part of that - and continue to cooperate on security. But of course, on security we cooperate in a variety of different ways and in different fora. So, we will want to cooperate with the European Union, and we are negotiating how we might maintain operational capabilities between the UK and the EU that exist at the moment, in terms of data sharing and issues such as that, once we have left the European Union.

We will also want to continue the cooperation that we have shown in a variety of ways - not always within a specific political structure, but actually, as we saw post-Salisbury, nations who agreed with the need to do something coming together and doing that across Europe, in the EU and outside the EU and elsewhere around the world. We continue to work, on a bilateral relationship but also more generally, on our commitment to defence in the High North. We will continue the interesting exercise that is taking place at the moment. We will want to continue our commitment in relation to particularly the maritime environment here, and to work with you in NATO and in other fora to ensure that collectively, we are dealing with what is a hybrid threat that we see. It is coming from, as I said, malign state actors but also non-state actors. I think there is a real challenge for us to be able to deal with the threats that we see today, that are not of the traditional sort but threats around cyber activity, around disinformation and propaganda. I think we need to work very strongly together. It is about protecting our democracies and protecting our values.

Skandinavisk oversættelse:

Tack!
