Jorodd Asphjell was elected to the Norwegian parliament (the Storting) in 2005 representing the Norwegian Labour Party. In the Storting, he sits on the Committee on Education and Research. His journey in the Nordic Council began as a substitute in 2009 and he’s been a member since 2012. He began his professional career as a trainee and graphic printer. Later on he ran his own sports company. He then continued as county secretary for the Labour Party in South-Trøndelag. In the Nordic Council, he’s a member of the Social Democrat Group and chairs the Norwegian delegation to the Nordic Council.
