The meeting is co-hosted by Finland and Åland, the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers is in attendance as well as representatives from the Nordic Business Community and the German Federal Chancellor.

At their summer meeting, the eight Nordic governments adopted two joint declarations on key areas of Nordic cooperation. One concerns societal security and preparedness, while the other launches enhanced Nordic collaboration on quantum technology. Both declarations mention the Nordic Council of Ministers among the actors that can assist governments in translating political ambitions into concrete results and collaboration.

I am pleased that the heads of government recognise the importance and potential of Nordic cooperation. Both declarations concern priority areas within the Nordic Council of Ministers, and we look forward to helping realise the political ambitions.
