Challenges associated with social inclusion, urban/rural differences and sparsely populated areas signal the importance of 5G for public services provision, as well as the need to further cooperation and synergies, but what’s the way forward?

In this exciting session, we will hear about the Nordic-Baltic 5G Monitoring Tool and what can 5G offer to public services, looking into benefits for society and what are the barriers and limitations for further Nordic-Baltic collaboration.

As different sectors and industry are deeply impacted by digital transformation, 5G have created an extraordinary opportunity for innovations to provide citizens with better services, enhancing their quality of life and experiences. Robotics, AI, IoT, Smart cities, E-Health, these, and other innovations, have also the potential to address several of the challenges that policy makers are facing nowadays, from providing universal, equitable, sustainable healthcare services, to smart mobility as well as public safety and public crisis management.

This session will address some of these topics, gathering speakers, of different nationalities, within the 5G Ecosystem in a discussion concerning what can 5G offer to public services and governments in its many missions, and what to envision of Nordic-Baltic cross-border collaboration in this area.
