The February meeting of the Nordic Council is a recurring meeting where parliamentarians from the Nordic countries gather within the various committees to discuss current issues concerning Nordic co-operation. The purpose of the February meeting is to follow up on various current political processes, co-ordinate the work of the various committees, and prepare joint Nordic initiatives for this year’s work.
In 2026, the meeting will be held in Roskilde, where the Danish parliament – the Folketing – will host the 87 Nordic participating parliamentarians. Key topics for the first meeting of 2026 include the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the tense situation around Greenland.
