The discussions in Brazil are just a click away. Five videos from events in the Nordic Pavilion at COP30 are already online and we will be filming film more in the next few days.

The Nordic Council of Ministers is hosting 40+ events at COP30 in Belém, taking stock of the current situation, presenting solutions and discussing the path towards a climate-neutral and sustainable future in line with the Paris Agreement. We will be uploading videos of selected events so that everyone can keep up with the discussions.

Five events are already online, and more will follow.

Highlights include a conversation between renowned scientists, Professor of Earth System Science Johan Rockström and Professor of Biodiversity Alexandre Antonelli, on the vital links between the climate and biodiversity. They talked about the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) ocean currents and the seriousness nature of the latest research findings, which estimate a 1-10% risk of AMOC collapsing. They also touched on the key role of food systems in addressing both the biodiversity and climate crises.

The participants in the debate on aquatic food systems included the Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen; the Brazilian Minister of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger, Wellington Dias; and the Assistant Secretary-General of the UN Global Compact, Sanda Ojiambo. They joined scientists to take a closer look at aquatic food systems as an overlooked resource that can help provide sustainable and nutritious meals for the people of the world.

Also online already are videos of the research panel on bioeconomy as a climate solution and of representatives of the Saami Council, UNEP and the Arctic Monitoring & Assessment Programme (AMAP) taking stock of the triple crisis.
