Looking for people aged 18-30 for Youth Program
Youth voices are an important part of the Nordic Council of Ministers programs in Demcracy Festivals around the Nordic region
If you are not in target group, please pass this invitation along to friends, family or people you know could be a match. Help young people organize and participate in Democratic processes in the Nordic region.
We are looking for young people across the Nordics to join assessment committee for a funding program called ‘Norden 0-30’. This is a paid opportunity for a 3-year commitment, with 3 meetings per year, some in-person in Helsinki (with travel expenses paid) and you get to decide collectively which projects to fund. All projects have to have a central role for children and young people in the Nordics.
It is an exercise in being on a board, considering applications from a range of applicants and evaluating impacts of the projects.
The group elects its own spokesperson and works independently and collegially.
Different experiences and perspectives will be valued so do apply if :
- you have experience with projects where children and/or young people participate actively
- you have perspectives linked to your cultural background, voluntary work, political, social or artistic projects or activism
About the work
- The term of office is three years (2026-2028).
The committee holds three decision-making meetings per year (online or in person). - You will be required to read and assess applications digitally and participate actively in meeting discussions.
- You will receive a fee and have your travel expenses covered for in-person meetings in Helsinki.

- Broad geographical, linguistic and experiential representation.
- Ability to speak English and at least one Scandinavian language. You must be able to read applications in all Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish).
- You must be resident in the Nordic region (citizenship is not a requirement).
