We are delighted to announce that Nordic Talks is a finalist in three categories for the prestigious City Nation Place Awards. The event series and podcast also won gold in the category “Best place or nation brand” and silver as "Best creative strategy" at this year's Transform Awards.

The winners of the City Nation Place Awards 2021 will be announced on Thursday 5 November. Nordic Talks, a live talk and podcast series funded by the Nordic Council and Council of Ministers, has been nominated in the categories “Place Brand of the Year”, “Best Communication Strategy” and “Best Citizen Engagement”. In just over a year, Nordic Talks has worked with 80+ Nordic embassies to stage roughly 100 events and engage more than 240 partners, innovators and thought leaders in 44 countries. And this is just the start.

About the award-winning initiative

Nordic Talks is an initiative by the Nordic Council and Council of Ministers that brings together thinkers and doers from all over the world to ask challenging questions and offer a fresh perspective on ways to promote a more sustainable and socially just future. The mission is to inspire people to act – everyone from gamers and tech nerds to foodies and policymakers – which is why each talk ends with a set of clear-cut action points. We need tangible things to do because we need to make climate actions comprehensible. For everyone.
