We reiterate our strong and unconditional support for the people of Greenland and their inalienable right to decide over their own country and future, a fundamental and inviolable principle of international law.

Greenland is a crucial and inseparable part of our Nordic family, the Nordic Council, the Nordic region, and the Nordic cooperation.

The Nordic Council is committed to promoting democracy and the rule of law, and to defending and strengthening a rules‑based international order.

All of the Nordic countries are now members of NATO, and we all have strong family, cultural, economic and security ties with the United States. We are committed to promoting closer cooperation with the United States, but it must be based on respect for national sovereignty, territorial integrity and democratic principles.

Matters concerning Greenland and the Kingdom of Denmark are for Greenland and Denmark alone to decide.
