Abstract
The global biodiversity crisis must be solved locally.  Many good initiatives are already being taken today, but we must do more.  The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) sets out an ambitious pathway to reach the global vision of a world living in harmony with nature by 2050.  Through the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere program (MAB), work has been done for decades for a better balance between man and nature. It is imperative that we learn from these global experiences and promote for further local community-based initiatives and actions in creating even better conditions for the development of nature and society. This publication presents findings from the Nordic Council of Ministers - Nordic Working Group for Biological Diversity funded project MAB LAB: Man, and the Biosphere - Local Actions for the new global framework for Biodiversity.
