Karen Ellemann from Denmark is the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers. She took on the role on 1 January 2023.
Ellemann has been a member of the Danish parliament from 2007 to 2022, and she has also been a member of the Nordic Council. She has also been minister for fisheries, minister for gender equality, and minister for Nordic co-operation, as well as minister for social affairs, minister of the interior, and minister for the environment.
Ellemann is also the former chair of the Nordic Association in Denmark.
