Paula Lehtomäki moving to a new role

Paula Lehtomäki, Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, is going to take up a new role as CEO of Skogsindustrin rf, Finnish Forest Industries Federation. Consequently, she will leave her role at the Nordic Council of Ministers in September 2022, six months before the end of her term.

“Nordic co-operation is more important than ever, and I look forward to continuing to work to deliver more results-oriented and focused Nordic co-operation in the coming months,” says Paula Lehtomäki. 
 

 


Under Paula Lehtomäki’s leadership, the Nordic Council of Ministers’ activities have been firmly concentrated on delivering the prime ministers’ vision of the Nordic Region as the world's most sustainable and integrated region by 2030. 
 

 


Paula Lehtomäki began her four-year term as Secretary General in March 2019, which would have run until March 2023. 

 

The process of recruiting a new Secretary General has begun.
