In a time where both planetary systems and international institutions are being put to the test, Nordic Cooperation in the Arctic is more crucial than ever.

Nordic Council of Ministers along with several Nordic institutions and the Nordic Council had a strong presence at the Arctic Circle Assembly this year. A platform that has quickly established itself as the most important international forum for dialogue and cooperation on the Arctic. Here we hosted a total of 11 events, both on site and off venue, highlighting how the Nordic countries can work together to ensure a safe, sustainable and resilient future in the Arctic.

It’s important to be here at here at the Arctic Circle Assembly to address the issues specific to the Nordic Arctic and to engage in the conversations and find solutions we can work with going ahead, says Anne-Katrine Brandt Olsen, Senior Adviser at Nordic Council of Ministers.
