A Model Database for Salivary Cortisol in Occupational Studies

Abstract
The present report is a summary of activities in a Nordic Network on Physiological measures in relation to job stress in the Nordic Countries. A Nordic database based on databases placed locally at the participating institutes was established. In the future, the database will be accessible to participants of the Network via the internet. The database may be used for scientific purposes only. The report consists of: a laboratory comparison of measurements of cortisol in saliva a study of long-term storage of saliva before analysis of cortisol a model database on measurements of cortisol in saliva an example of how to use the model database&nbsp,&nbsp, The database includes data from six studies where salivary cortisol has been used as a supplement to assess job stress in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. A total of 6311 measurements from 939 individuals from Denmark, Norway, and Sweden are so far included.
