The Nordic cultural community will be celebrated in the Swedish parliament in Stockholm on Tuesday 28 October when the Nordic Council awards its five annual prizes showcasing the best in Nordic literature, film, music, children and young people’s literature and work on the environment.

The awards highlight the strength of Nordic co-operation on culture and the environment and seek to increase interest in Nordic literature, languages, film, and music, and to honour extraordinary efforts to make the Nordic Region sustainable. 

The prizes are among the most prestigious in the region and enjoy a considerable international recognition. Cultural figures, politicians, and guests from across the Nordic Region will gather to honour the winners, who each receive a Nordlys statuette and DKK 300,000.

Who will win the Nordic Council prizes? 

The winners of the Nordic Council prizes for 2025 will be announced on 21 October, a week before the award ceremony.

Celebrate the winners in Kulturhuset, Stockholm on Monday 27 October. The event is free and open to the public but the number of places is limited, so you have to register in advance.
