An ambitious climate agenda is an important element in Nordic endeavours to achieve the global sustainable development goals (SDGs). Visitors to the Nordic Pavilion at the UN Climate Summit (COP23) in Bonn, November 6–17, will be invited to debate the contribution Nordic solutions can make to solving global climate challenges.

Under the heading Nordic Solutions to Global Challenges the Nordic Pavilion will draw parallels with the SDGs, focusing on feasible, scalable and cost-effective solutions.

Special theme days will be devoted to sustainable consumption and production, even though these are aspects that will also recur during the theme days addressing food and the bioeconomy, and to Nordic energy solutions, even though these will, of course, also be incorporated into the theme days on sustainable town planning and regional development, the Arctic, financing and climate legislation.

An informal morning chat with a well known Nordic or international figure will kick off each day in the Nordic exhibition stands, followed by an afternoon briefing summarising the main points from the theme days and drawing parallels with the ongoing climate negotiations. These talks will be broadcast live on Facebook.
