Each Nordic country sends a delegation to the Nordic Council. The delegations make sure that decisions made in the Council and Council of Ministers are implemented at national level.
The delegations are made up of members elected annually by the national parliament.
Only members of national parliaments are eligible to be members of the delegation. A broad spectrum of political opinion must be represented.
Each national delegation elects a chairperson and vice-chairperson from its members.
Each delegation has a national secretariat based in its parliament.
