Put forward candidates for the 2023 Nordic Council Environment Prize

This year’s theme is sustainable textile production and consumption. Put forward a candidate by 9 May 2023.

The 2023 Nordic Council Environment Prize will be awarded to a key player that is steering systemic change in relation to the textile industry, textile services (service design), and clothing consumption in a more sustainable direction at a global level.

The winner of the prize will receive DKK 300,000.

How does the initiative fulfil the criteria for the prize in terms of impact, innovation, scalability, potential and relevance?

Take the following criteria into consideration when outlining your reasons for submitting the proposal. Note that it must not exceed one uploaded A4 page or 500 words in the textbox below.

  1. Impact: In what way does the initiative help to solve the biodiversity and climate crisis?
  2. Innovation: How does the initiative differ from others in its field?
  3. Scalability and potential: How can the initiative be scaled up to cover other countries and/or sectors?
  4. Relevance: What value does the initiative have for environmental work in the Nordic Region?
