About the Nordic-Baltic Veterinary Contingency Group (N-B VCG)
In order to comply with the objectives the Group has arranged a number of activities including seminars, expert meetings, workshops and simulation exercises. The exercises have covered economical important exotic diseases such as foot and mouth disease, African swine fever, West Nile fever, Bluetongue, Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia in trout and African Horse Sickness.
Main activities in 2019
The Nordic Baltic Veterinary Contingency Group has for 2019 scheduled:
- A mini –seminar to be held from 8 – 9 May in Tallinn, Estonia. The mini-seminar will deal with the handling of animal by-products and other products in relation to outbreaks of serious transmissible diseases.
- A Nordic-Baltic foot and mouth disease simulation exercise. The exercise is scheduled to take place in the autumn in Lithuania.
