Nordic Council meets in Oslo, 15–16 September
Inside the Norwegian Parliament.
A Nordic-Baltic AI centre, New Nordics AI is being launched this autumn, funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The aim is to help accelerate the adoption of AI in the public and private sector. It will deploy strategic leadership, close coordination and shared values to encourage cross-border and intersectoral innovation and collaboration.
How can the Nordic Region lead the way in artificial intelligence? This is the main theme for the Nordic Council meetings in the Norwegian parliament in Oslo. The Norwegian Minister of Digitalisation, Karianne Tung, will open a discussion on the role of politicians in the AI revolution. Other speakers will include representatives of the business community and the chair of the Nordic Council Welfare Committee, Eva Lindh MP (Sweden).
The Nordic Council Presidium and committees will meet in Oslo to discuss proposals and recommendations that will be put to the vote at the Session in Stockholm this October. The party groups will also meet in the Norwegian capital, allowing colleagues from across the Nordic Region to discuss upcoming issues.
