The sessions will seek to address some of the critical questions facing our society today, amid the current geopolitically, ecologically, socially and economically fragile times: what kind of things bring us together now and in the future? what matters to us as a region? are there particular ways of working and living that strengthen our bonds? what does resilience mean to you, your neighborhood, or your community?

Previous dialogues and surveys have highlighted growing societal divisions. Different generations, cultures, occupations, urban and rural communities, and political perspectives often struggle to find common grounds. We aim to explore what fosters unity and connection in our diverse societies.

The dialogue seeks to understand the varied experiences of people living in Estonia, the Baltic and the Nordic countries. A well-functioning society thrives on strong people-to-people connections, ensuring inclusivity and collaborative problem-solving. What inspires you, your community, organization, or decision-makers to come together? We invite partners from our Nordic-Baltic network to share their experiences and participate in shaping the future of the Nordic-Baltic community.

The sessions will be facilitated by Finnish and Estonian experts from the Dialogue Academy, led by Dr Kai Alhanen, a recognized researcher in political philosophy and author of many books on the dialogue method (read more here https://dialogiakatemia.fi/en/persons/kai-alhanen/ ). A joint summary of all discussions will be shared with participants and submitted for use by the Nordic Council of Ministers, Nordic Cultural Institutes in the Baltic region, Nordic Embassies, and other relevant agencies.
