The event will highlight a wide range of high-quality products from the region, including functional foods designed to support well-being, sustainably sourced seafood, premium meat, and inventive snacks - each reflecting the Nordic values of trust, sustainability, and practical innovation.

Deputy Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Ida Heimann Larsen, will be giving a keynote speech, talking about how food can be a driver for regional and sustainable development.

Director of the Nordic Atlantic Co-operation (NORA), Halla Nolsøe Poulsen, will deliver a presentation, introducing the Arctic Young Chef initiative. During the presentation, the audience will taste some delicious, innovative, and sustainable finger food prepared by Sebastian Garcia Jiménez, winner of Arctic Young Chef in the Faroe Islands 2024, together with the Arctic Young Chefs, Hinrik Carl Ellertsson and Gutti Winther.

The Nordic region and Japan share a deep respect for nature, seasonality, and purity in food. At EXPO, we’re proud to showcase how young Nordic chefs are reimagining traditional ingredients to create sustainable, world-class cuisine. Our kitchens may be far apart, but the values behind them—care, craftsmanship, and connection to the land and sea—bring us close together.
