ARCTIC CIRCLE Oct 17–19
Arctic Circle 2024
Arctic Circle is the largest annual international forum for dialogue and cooperation on the future of the Arctic. The Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Council were present.
Nordic Cooperation in the Arctic is more important than ever, not least due to the current geopolitical situation and an escalating climate crisis. In 2024, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Council had a prominent presence at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavík, hosting a total of 11 events both on-site and off-venue. Additionally, we invited you to visit our information booth in the Harpa conference area, where you could engage with our institutions and discover more about our projects and initiatives in the Arctic.
How can the Nordic countries work together to ensure a safe, resilient, and sustainable future in the Arctic Region? The Nordic Cooperation were present at the Arctic Circle Assembly from October 17-19 at Harpa Conference Centre, Reykjavík. As the largest annual international forum for dialogue and cooperation on the future of the Arctic, the Arctic Circle provided an open, democratic platform where a wide range of participants - including authorities, organizations, companies, universities, think tanks, environmental associations, indigenous communities, and engaged citizens - came together to address the challenges and opportunities facing the region.
