This event will introduce the climate neutral ambitions of the Nordic region focusing on good examples from islands aiming at becoming climate neutral, and lastly a panel discussion between Representatives from the islands and Nordic politicians, on how we together can best obtain our common climate neutral ambitions.

During this event, the results from a survey of CEOs in Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will be presented and analysed. We invite business leaders and politicians to discuss the benefits and potential pitfalls of the climate transformation.

The evening will focus on the interlinkages between design and sustainability and introduce the impact sustainable design can have on enhanced climate ambition and action.
Design Talk
Hans Christian Asmussen, Danish Crafts & Design Association, and Mats Widbom, Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, will engage in a dialogue about the importance of sustainable thinking within the design industry and the depth and variety of sustainability Nordic furniture design exemplifies. The dialogue is moderated by Mary Gestrin from the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The reception will culminate in the announcement of the 'People's Choice' winner of the Nordic Design Competition, a competition that received 98 contributions from every corner of the Nordics. The five national winners have been showcased at the Nordic Pavilion during the two weeks of the conference and COP24 attendees have been able to vote on the entry they feel embody the essence of sustainable design the most.
