Debate meeting

The discussion is aimed at professionals working in urban development who want to learn about the future of urban agriculture. We will discuss the scope and the challenges of urban agriculture, as well as the new skills that will be needed for its development in the future.

We will also look at recent Nordic pilot projects which have shown that urban agriculture could become an important source of innovation and opportunity in urban life. For example, the Norwegian University of Environment and Biosciences has launched the first Master's programme in urban agriculture, while Campus Roslagen in Sweden has developed vocational training for aquaponics engineers.

The discussion is part of a project on on urban agriculture jointly implemented by the Nordregio and the Nordic Council of Ministers.
