The Nordic Council Literature Prize 2018 goes to Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir

The Icelandic author received her award from Crown Princess Mette-Marit for the novel Ör (Hotel Silence, Pushkin Press 2018, translator Brian FitzGibbon) at the award ceremony for the five Nordic Council prizes held at the Opera House in Oslo.

The statutes come into effect on 1 January 2016 and replace the statutes of 1961 and subsequent amendments of 1964, 1971, 1983, 1984, 1990, 1996, and 2009.
