The Arctic has special challenges related to climate change and the preservation of the environment, but there are also social challenges for the population in the area. What is so special about living as an LGBTI person in this part of the world? How can Nordic co-operation contribute to the special challenges in the Arctic?

The Nordic Council of Ministers invites to a digital debate to shed light on these challenges. The debate is one of several that will be held in the Nordic countries, Åland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland in the autumn of 2020. The knowledge these debates gives us is used by the Nordic Council of Ministers in the further work to improve the conditions for LGBTI people in the Nordic region.
